Mumbai to Jaisalmer - November 2017

When I first travelled to India in 1979, I was immediately taken by the kindness of the people in the most remote villages I drove through. I retraced some of my steps in 2017, driving from Mumbai to Jaisalmer, away from the main roads as much as possible. In these photos, you will not see palaces and wealth but the real life of working people, in their villages, the fields, the harbours or the street.
